THERAPIES

Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic therapy involving specific massage of the feet helping to bring about relaxation, balance and whole body healing. People choose reflexology for a whole range of physical conditions and also for emotional wellbeing or a way to unwind and de-stress. The treatment is widely accessible as all you need to do is take your shoes and socks off and lie on a comfortable recliner. Deeply relaxing and restorative, it works on so many different levels.

Massage Deep Tissue and Sports Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep tissue massage helps loosen the tissue, release toxins from muscles and gets blood and oxygen circulating properly. It is both therapeutic and corrective.

Sports Massage You don't need to be an athlete to benefit from this massage... It is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments and tendons using various techniques. It helps relieve the chronic muscular problems and imbalances experienced by many people. In other words, it helps prevent injury.

Reiki

Simply put, Reiki is an energy that is channelled through the practitioner to the client. It flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is good for many ailments and is extremely relaxing which in itself can start a healing process. There is no need to remove any clothing for the treatment as Reiki flows easily through any material including plaster casts.

Setsukido

This is an ancient and unique Japanese treatment which includes massage and meridian balancing.

Setsukido Massage:

During the massage, which is full body with oil, Ki is channelled into your body, which penetrates deep into the tissues, driving out negative energy that has been held there, either as a result of recent events, or as far back as past lives. As well as relieving stress and providing help for muscle pain through massage, it also enhances and aligns the energy within your body.

Practitioner Sally Cooper

Setsukido Meridian Balancing:

The meridian system is a series of channels of Ki (life force) that run through the body, closely connected to the nervous system, and associated with various organs of the body. Stimulating the channels, and various points on them, can have a profound effect on an individual's physical/mental/emotional/ego state. By encouraging the energy to flow, the channels become more balanced. This helps with deep relaxation and can free the body of tension that is stored within it.

Spiritual Counselling

This is a method of counselling that is person-centred, and draws on many traditions, rather than subscribing to any one path. It focuses on an individual's self-worth and values by integrating physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth. Being valued as a person, without being judged can help an individual to accept who they are, and reconnect with themselves.

Practitioner Jo Read

Spiritual Healing

Spiritual Healing is giving people the gift of meditation. A relaxing treatment that is channelled through the hands. The healing puts you back in touch with your 'spirit', your true nature, releasing emotional and mental issues that can often affect your physical health.
